Steps
Edit the item record via Create/edit item(s).
Select Add note.
Choose the Note type of
...
Gift note, enter descriptive text into the Note field and choose whether or not the note should be staff only.
...
Select Save and close to finish editing the item record.
Optional (for display in Discover
...
):
Edit the MARC record in quickMARC via Edits in quickMARC.
Add a 541 field with the appropriate subfields and values for your gift.
Make sure to use a $5 with the identifier for your school
Select Save and close to finish editing the MARC record.
