Q: Why do I need to prefix my public shared lists with my institutional Prefixcode?

A: Filtering of Lists in the Lists app isn’t great. Prefixing public shared lists will help others know which lists are theirs.

Q: When should I make a Shared list?

A: A public shared list allows others to view your list. If your list is only for your use, make it private. If you want others to use it, make it Shared. You can always change it later.

Q: Why do I have to limit the size of my query results to 25,000 records?

A: Query results will always return all the data from our shared database. Some records record types will have ways to filter limit data to your institution, while others will not. We are awaiting the development of new search criteria that will make this easier.

Q: Why doesn’t data in my list doesn’t match the app?
A: Lists is still in development and there are some rough edges. Some queries may be getting data in a different way than the App searches. When using list results for decision making, always double check.

Q: I created a list in the previous release, why doesn’t it work now?

A: We are still contending with an issue where if the data in the list app changes, old lists can break. It’s a known bug and we hope they’ll have a fix soon.

Q: I can’t Save my list? What’s wrong?

A: Before you can save create a listquery, first you have to give it the list a name. After you craft the query, you cannot run it on the full database until you have run a test query first.
